On 25 March 2025 NWGD will visit the TNO facilities in Petten.
Do you join?
During the excursion we will hear more about the results of the Solidarity project (Project Solidarity | TNO) and we will visit the Mollier facility (Innoveren in industriële droogtechnologie | TNO).
The Mollier facility has innovative energy efficient drying and dewatering equipments such as superheated steam drying equipment and drying set-ups combined with heat pump technology.
The Solidarity project has just been finalized and results will be shared. The aim of the project was to demonstrate cost-effective dewatering and drying strategies in the process industry. For three different applications, i.e. glycol dewatering, reuse of salt streams and paper production, key technologies were developed: 1) Pervaporation for dewatering of tri-ethyleneglycol, 2) Bipolar-membrane- electrodialysis for reuse of salt streams, 3) Displacement press for dewatering moulded fiber, 4) Airless drying for moulded fiber.
